The TIMco PVCu window fabrication screw range was first introduced in 1987, and is now recognised as one of the market leading brands in the industry. The range has been specifically designed for use in the fabrication of PVCu windows and is manufactured to meet all the recognised industry standards. A dedicated Quality department applies rigorous checks to ensure conformance to specification for both screws and corrosion resistant plating. The in-house test facilities will check 'pull-out' and 'speed insertion' performance into individual profiles, as well as conducting 'torque-testing' and 'plating depth' testing on all batches of screws. In addition the company has for 15 years been commissioning regular independent salt spray tests on the products at UKAS Testing houses. Copies of certificates are available on request. Plating on carbon steel window screws is carried out to exceed the performance requirements of 240hours salt spray resistance to corrosion, required by BS7412:2007, and the British Plastics Federation (BPF) and the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) guidelines. TIMco has also developed an exclusive coating (TIMcoAT) which gives Martensitic Grade 410 Stainless Steel exceptional resistance properties, in independent salt spray tests the TIMcoAT achieved resistance to corrosion of 1000+ hours and over 500+ hours in application.
